The Birds Of Paradise are large but relatively weak demons that attack Kouga's clan mostly to eat the wolf demons and wolves, but also in an attempt to get his Shikon Jewel Shards. They only make one appearance in the anime, in the episode 'The Man Who Fell In Love With Kagome!'.
The Leader of the Bird's Of Paradise had a Jewel Shard of its own in its possession, which is one the reasons the Wolf Demon Tribe had been unable to defeat them. The Leader also manages to get the Jewel Shard in Kouga's arm when they fight. The Birds Of Paradise are eventually defeated by Miroku's Wind Tunnel, and the Leader by InuYasha's Wind Scar. |
